“Cleanliness is next to godliness. We can no more seek God’s blessings with an unclean body than with an unclean mind. A clean body cannot reside in an unclean city.” - Young India: November 19th, 1925

Following Mahatma Gandhi’s vision of a clean India on his birth anniversary, Almighty International participated in “Swacch Bharat Abhiyan”. This two day campaign under the aegis of Indian Railways and Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s initiative of a Clean India as enunciated by him on Independence Day this year was organized at Malerkotla Railway Station on 1st and 2nd November 2016

With a handful number of around 25 volunteers, Almighty International accepted the challenge of keeping a busy railway station clean and litter free. The cleanliness drive was not merely organized with the motive of cleaning the railway station; it was also aimed at making the people aware about the hygiene benefits and to acquaint them with the common vision of hon’ble Prime Minister and the youth representing the Almighty International.

With masks covering their faces and brooms in their hands, the volunteers worked diligently which was highly appreciated not only by the passengers but the autowalahs and the taxi drivers who supported the cause by signing for the campaign and pledging to keep the station area litter free. The event was marked by the benign presence of Shri Ashok Kumar, Station master malerkotla who also signed for the campaign

The volunteers made sure that the station was litter free after the campaign ended on the note of “Swacch Bhart, Swastha Bharat”.
