History

MalerKotla a Muslim and Sikh majority state was established in 1454 A.D. by Sheikh Sadruddin from Afghanistan, and was ruled by his Sherwani descendents. The State of Malerkotla was established in 1600 A.D. It is noteworthy that during the 1947 riots when Punjab was in flames, the State of Malerkotla did not witness a single incident of violence through it all, it remained a lone island of peace Malerkotla is the main city of District Sangrur of Punjab. District sangrur’s Block Malerkotla-I and Malerkotla-II are declared backward in all areas. Mostly people work in agriculture and small scale industries on very low wages. Drop out ratio of school children is too high according to census 2011 report. As per Census 2011 report 4-6 years age 40% children are out of school in Malerkotla and literacy rate is 72. ALMIGHTY INTERNATIONAL SOCIETY   (REGD)is a non-profit society (NGO). The ALMIGHTY INTERNATIONAL SOCIETY was established for the purpose of social welfare of poor section of the society. The society is involved in the society welfare and development activities since the year 2003. Society works for the welfare of the marginalized and disadvantaged sections of society particularly the women and children from poor socio-economic background. The society particularly works in the field of community mobilization, education, community health, skill development and livelihood issues. It recognizes and recons skill, knowledge and experience of the people and keeps faith in the people's participatory process in their development activities. Our mission is to ensure “Make a Healthy Society for Healthy Residents” Every year, we reach hundreds of people in both rural and urban areas through a range of interventions. Our programs include pre-school education, health issues, and Environment problems. Society helps to come back main streaming out of school children, providing learning support to both in school children with access to books, research and analysis, protecting vulnerable children, among others. Afforestation in various areas, help the needy patients and guide them for treatment. Over the years, Almighty International Society has moved from being a service delivery organization to one which successfully impacts policy and practice in the area District Sangrur, Punjab.



Almighty International society is registered in India under the Societies Registration Act of 1860 with its registered office at Punjab. Registration number DIC/DRA/6359 on the 17th of May 2011.
